Here are the projects from my latest "Tons of Techniques" class.

The first project, "Home for Christmas" card, uses the Sepia technique, inspired by Diana Gibbs on her blogg (I included this card in my last post).

The second project was inspired by a card we made at our INKredibles' Fall Fest, created and demonstrated by Michelle Zindorf. I'm calling it a "Spongescape" since the entire scene is made by masking off sections and sponging and stamping.

The third project is a votive candle cover inspired by Jan Tink. Of course, I didn't have the Sissiz die that she used, so I had to change the project a tad. I stamped this using Stampin'Up!'s new shimmer paints and the snowflake set from the Holiday Mini!

This is my daughter's kitty, Flea. He wanted to show you one of the cards that we'll be making in the "Holiday Cards" class next Tuesday, November 3rd, 10 a.m. or 7 p.m. Let me know asap if you'd like to attend since space is limited. Let's get a closer look at that card. It was inspired by my good friend Jackie Matyasovski. I love adding snow with the white gel pen, and the "Petals-a-Plenty" embossing folder from the Holiday Mini Catalog adds some interesting texture to the card.

If you see a class you'd like to take, but the date and time doesn't work for you, please feel free to contact me to arrange another meeting time.

My Digital Studio and Other Current Specials and Classes

Wow, I can't believe it's mid-October, and we've already had our first snowfall here in NJ! My daughter commented how pretty the snow looked with the colorful leaves although not many of our trees have changed yet. Time sure flies by!

Stampin'Up! has unveiled a beautiful new Idea Book and Catalog as well as a new Holdiday Mini Catalog which you can view by clicking on the links in the sidebar. Both contain great new stamp sets, accessories and products.

My favorite product in the holiday mini is "My Digital Studio (MDS)," the new paper crafting program which will enable users to create photo albums, calendars, greeting cards and even multi-media projects right on your home computer. You can use the option to send your project off to our high-quality print facility, or print directly on your home printer.

The program uses the same exclusive Stampin'Up! colors, stamp images, embellishments, and background papers you've come to love, so you can even create hybrid projects by printing out your project and adding embellishments to it....or use your computer generated piece as a focal point for your hand-made card. You can create digital photo albums and download them to a disc to give to other family members and friends as Christmas presents. There are soooo many possibilities. I can't wait to explore them all.

"MDS" is available now in the Holiday Mini Catalog, and if you visit the "Shop Now" section of my website, you'll notice that there are additional image downloads available for it already.

MY EVENTS

Check out my full Calendar of Events and Classes by clicking on the link under Stamping Links in the sidebar.

Coming up on Tuesday, October 27th, at 10 am or 7 pm, is a Tons of Techniques class. We usually make 3 projects that incorporate a number of fun techniques. Class fee: $15

This card uses a technique, which we will learn at the 10/27 class, that makes the image look like a sepia photo. It was inspired by cards made by Diana Gibbs and Jan Tink. If you wish to attend this class, please let me know asap. My e-mail address is stampinwithmarge@hotmail.com.

This card uses the set called "Serene Snowflakes from the Holiday Mini Catalog. I totally cased (copy and steal everything) this card from Connie Babbert's blog. It's such a great simple card. It may be hard to see, but there is a dot of Crystal Effects sprinkled with Dazzling Diamonds glitter in the centers of each snowflake and the tips of the largest snowflake. The circles were sponged from stencils made with our circle punches after the snowflakes were stamped, making it easier to place a circle directly in the center of the largest snowflake. This is one of the cards we'll make in the Holiday Cards class.

Check back for more hand-stamped samples and information about my Holiday Cards and Gifts classes scheduled for November and December.
